School has begun, and along with it, the challenge of keeping our kids motivated, and keeping them with their heads above water as they enter another academic year. I came across this great article that highlights the law of indirect effort. Take time to "See" your child. How much time do you spend during the week "doing nothing" with your child. Believe me, when I read this article, it hit me right between the eyes. The more you "see" your child, the more free s/he will feel to achieve in school. Read all about it here! CommentsThu, 15 Oct 2009 22:23:08 Stephen, Even with all the talk about ADD/ADHD many people still do not understand it and still believe the myths you talk about. My son, now 30, still has issues as a result of how he was treated as a (bad)child. Giving the children or adults a sense of self-esteem is essential to their EQ. You are doing a great service providing this information. Keep up the good work. BTW, thanks for visiting my blog. Fri, 16 Oct 2009 11:31:06 Judy, thanks for the kind words. It's too bad to hear about your son's situation. I do trust he can continue to get perspective on his condition, so that he will not regret his past, but rather learn from it as he moves forward in life. Thanks for dropping by :) Leave a Reply |
